Bioware announced Dragon Age 2 today.
Perhaps we'll finally see an excellent fantasy RPG from Bioware with... ...GASP... ...up-to-date graphics!!!
Noooo! How will we cope with an awesome game that doesn't look dated by the time it's released?

I really would like to see a great FRPG that moves away from the humans - elves - dwarves / warrior - mage - cleric -rogue approach and does something unique.
The skill advancement system in Eve Online is one thing that continues to fascinate me.

I haven't even played 1 yet
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy shit...what a ride!"

Likewise, and I've had a gift card earmarked for it for over 6 months now.

I'm enjoying Dragon Age so far. It' far better than NWN2. I'm not so keen on the magic system at the moment.
The question is: Will I enjoy it more than Assassin's Creed II?
Hell, there was so much eye-candy in Assassin's Creed (and some cool history + famous artwork) that the game actually inspired my wife to sit down and co-pilot me.
Which means:
DO THIS! DO THAT! DID YOU HAVE TO KILL THAT POOR MAN!?!
Yes Dear. I'´m a scary assassin. It's what I do.
DYE YOUR CLOTHES A DIFFERENT COLOUR! BUY THAT PICTURE! CLIMB THAT BUILDING! DID YOU HAVE TO KILL THAT POOR MAN!?!
Yes Dear. I'm a scary assassin...
Assassin's Creed 2 + Wife 1.0 was one of the funniest gaming experiences ever.
Although having my wife address me as "My Liege" after years of Rome Total War and Medieval Total War is a close second.

I didn't consider DAs graphics dated in any way, dunno why everyone was so hung up them. At least on the PC version there was plenty of eye candy with a good team.
Never did complete the damn thing though... too big, much like NWN OC
As for the EVE skill system, when you round the 10 millionth skill point (my char is sitting somewhere around 15 mill nowdays) the fascination kinda wears thin. I do like the concept though.

My Eve main is sitting at around the 60 million skill piont mark and the novelty hasn't worn off.
The most insane part of Eve is being in a corp with a bunch of people who have been playing since beta.
Every time I think: w00t: I can haz monster skill points one of them humbles me...
The training system is a refréshingly different approach, especially when the demannd of real life catch up to me and I know I won't be playing much for a while.
I found the graphics on Assassin's Creed a lot better. The party interactions in DA are awesome and the idea of spell combos is interesting.

I dunno, I finished both Dragon Age and Assassin's Creed 2 and I became bored in the process. I could play Baldur's Gate over and over again without being bored, trying different parties, exploring places I missed earlier, little details here and there, always I was pushed forward. In DA and AC 2 it became a chore to finish both games. (Yup, I found all the feathers in AC 2).
In AC 2 I loved the freedom and the feeling of being an assassin, in DA I loved the interaction among the group members.
