Boardgame Waterdeep IOS

Post by ash007 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:22 am

Just to sparkle a bit of life on the forums.

Trying out this new Apple IOS boardgame.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/d-d-lor ... 19675?mt=8

I played couple of games against the AI and the hardest setting proves to be challenging and the game is fun, nice art too.
What's more, it has multiplayer.

I think that some of you have some Apple gadgets as well and this might be the most conveniet "on the go" play ever.

The offline game takes about 10 to 20 mins to finish. Depending on number of players and how quick your thinking is ;)

I've seen that this was released - have not checked it out.

Here's the link of the board game it was remade from - http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1103 ... -waterdeep

Does it have any elements of RP or is it like a euro game (resource management)?

Kick ass and thanks for the post :P

Well, there is not much RP done by the players. Only some RP background of the quests, patrons and settings in general.
So, it is just a euro game ;)

Thanks for the heads-up.

Totally off the subject have you checked out elder Scrolls Online - it sucks that it's pay to play - but eventually it may go free :)

I was in the beta and thought it wasn't bad - but am going to hold out for free to play.

maybe then we can transform this site to ESO guild page

I think, I've seen an ad somewhere but I've never checked it out. If it goes free then I'm willing to try it out ;)

There just so many games I'd like to play... :D

Currently, I just play the Waterdeep sometimes and somewhat regularly the Heartstone by Blizzard. Also a beta.

How do like Heartstone and is there a way to get into the beta?

Well, I really like Heartstone. It's quick and fun. But I've always been into card games (Magic the Gathering, L5R, Warlords, Vampires, etc.). I still have about 10 boxes full of cards at home :D

I used to play MtGOnline but like the paper original it is pretty expensive if you don't have the right connections and plenty of time to get there --> to the top...

I see that the Heartstone is free to play now! :D
There was a major update recently, which apparently moved it out the beta.

Check it out here: http://eu.battle.net/hearthstone/en/

Both for Win and Mac OS.

There is an online store inside but there is really no need to pay a dime to get all the great cards. There is also the Arena, which is basically a draft and the better you play the better is the reward. Also there is online league.

Like I said, I like it a lot. I was really surprised to see that Blizzard made a card game.

Also there is no chat interface, so that you are not flooded by spam during the match and chatting is allowed only with people on the friend list.

Check it out for yourself :)

There is one thing. If you join, try the euro server and see if it is acceptable for you.
Otherwise we won't be able to see each other and the card collection can't be transferred over to another server, they allow you to freely move among the servers though, which is great.
